Bureau of Construction Codes Public Meeting

Given that MCL 125.1504 (http://legislature.mi.gov/doc.aspx?mcl-125-1504) allows for Michigan to “skip” a code version and adopt a new version every 6 years, BCC is holding a public meeting on 12/20/17 at 9:00 a.m.  See here for details http://www.michigan.gov/lara/0,4601,7-154-10575-449341--,00.html

“The purpose of the meeting is to allow persons an opportunity to present data and comments on the general need to update the current Michigan residential code with the 2018 edition of the International Residential Code.”

Comments may be presented in person at the public meeting on December 20, 2017.  If your presentation at the public meeting is also available in written form, please provide a copy to the Rules Specialist at the conclusion of your comments.  Individuals who are not present at the meeting may submit written testimony by mail, email, or facsimile and received no later than 5:00 p.m., December 20, 2017, to the bureau’s contact information.
